AR: David Banas report Xilinx position on LTI assumption for SerDes - Michael M. sketch new IBIS interconnect plan - In progress - Will drop this - Walter coordinate completion of true diff BIRD draft - In progress - Michael M. draft Eye keywords for true diff BIRD - In progress - Randy draft derating keywords for true diff BIRD - In progress - Arpad: Write parameter passing syntax proposal (BIRD draft) for *-AMS models in IBIS that is consistent with the parameter passing syntax of the AMI models - TBD - TBD: Propose a parameter passing syntax for the SPICE - [External ...] also? - TBD - Arpad: Review the documentation (annotation) in the macro libraries. - Deferred until a demand arises or we have nothing else to do ------------- New Discussion: We looked at the JESD79-3a spec with the discontinuity (after an interminable period of experimenting with LiveMeeting to figure out how to share it) - Table jumps from 57 @ 2.0 V/ns to 75 @ >2.0V/ns. - Walter: this rule is strange, but can be implemented. Michael Mirmak showed the ICM interfacing BIRD: - The perception is that IBIS package models are "lame". - Difficult to use because there are no die pad names. - BIRD preserves assumption of 1-to-1 relation of pads to pins. - Can use ICM to connect to rails without [Pin Mapping]. - Change to existing [Package Model] keyword: accept .icm file extensions. - No cross-checking between IBIS and ICM models. - [External Package] will not be used. - Positive comments at ICM review meeting last week. - There has not been much other discussion about this BIRD. - Arpad: Will this cause problems for Sigrity single ground reference approach? - Michael M.: no feedback yet. - Arpad: reference nodes? - Michael M.: IBIS seems to assume node 0 for ground. - Assumptions remain true when ICM is used. - Bob: no tree style example here. - Michael M.: IBIS seems to assume node 0 for ground. - Bob: can it be used with nodal style? - Haven't resolved IIRD 9 yet (S-param reference). - Can't use s-param with nodal style. - Bob: This will be diffcult to check: - Michael M.: Hoping to get this approved quickly. - Bob: speed may not be a benefit if it is difficult to use. - Arpad: This is actually a simpler proposal.
